So, I got a request to do some fellas for the INQ28 game (which seems to be a very popular form of this hobby) and started to gather xenos horde around the happy salesman figure. Let's see where I'll get with these.
Thanks Javier! Allright, for the bulkier dude I used captain Badruk-model and added some extra bits for him. If I remember correctly, I used necron parts like the nozzle of the gun, a gem form the hellpit abomination set, and head from plague bearer set... Also the engine behind his back is necron parts. The sabaton from his left foot is sculpted.
The skinnier guy is based on Vampire counts wraith model, and I added plaguebearer legs for him, aswell as PB stick he has, and nurgling hand... plus some greenstuff. I really enjoyed building these fellas.
Well, to be honest I got really inspired by one video game character from the Legend of Zelda series, this dude here: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/zelda/images/f/fa/Poe_Salesman.jpg
In the game he's the one who collects souls or ghosts, and the image struck me pretty hard. And whi wouldn't love ghastly skin wrapped in thick robes...
Awww that's adorable! I really like the look on these muties. You do have a unique style with both painting and conversions, the use of a nurgling arm is brilliant! The use of the new plastic blisters seems to be infinite :D
I've already added another "thing" to the posse, and I hope I can get some results soon. Only the color of this skinny lads skin is bothering me, because these photos make it look quite blue. I'll probably fix the skin to be more pale.
I love your style! Any chance of getting a breakdown on what you did with both figures conversion-wise? ^^

Thank you so much! That is some extremely creative use of bits! :D Any chance of a shot of their backs?
DeleteI'm loving these Xenos dudes, great work!
ReplyDeleteAlso, quite possibly the most interesting (and different) conversion of the Cairn Wraith I've seen so far :)
