I think I'll give him a showcase-base (IT WOULD BE MY FIRST COOL BASE) and then finish his legs and maybe give another tattoo/warpaint to him somewhere. I'm not sure about the colour of the sash he has under his belly. Maybe there'll be some changes before I call this a finished piece.
He's a nice big un, lovely atmospheric figure. Skin is really nice, not 100% sure on the eyebrows and beard. Nice palette overall. A scenic base would be great, I keep thinking that I should try one too sometime (mmm, maybe an idea for another joint project there). This guy reminds me of a Skyrim orc, which has to be good.
ReplyDeleteAbout the facial hair, me neither! But look at the pictures of Ganondorf from google and you'll see the reference I used. There in some pictures this orange-grey feel is a nice contrast and I decided to make test with the tones. But, let's see after adding the base if there's need for any other changes...
DeleteThe grey skin was nice and different to do, because lately I've only been doing rotting skin :( Cheers!
Agree: love the tones. he looks like he'd smell like cigarettes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sculpt too, so much character
Thanks Ferret! I'm quite sad that now when Ral Partha is no more (sob) the minietures start to look the most awesome thing ever. Damn.
DeleteWell, I think the hair and beard is just as it should be, and goes well with the theme! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you Juha! The next step is to make a scenic base for the monster and start varnishing the hell out of it...
